Hammond’s Greatest Sports Achievement
In celebration of its 40th induction, the Hammond Sports Hall of Fame also invited current and former Hammond area residents to vote for Hammond’s Greatest Sports Achievement voters chose from five iconic feats in Hammond’s sports history:

Hall of Fame is moving
During his remarks at the induction, Hammond Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr. announced the Hammond Sports Hall of Fame location will move from the Hammond Civic Center lobby to the recently-expanded Hammond Sportsplex and Community Center, 6630 Indianapolis Blvd., in time for next year’s induction.
