ABOUT THE HAMMOND SPORTS HALL OF FAME

The Hammond Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1987 to honor individuals for their noteworthy contributions to Hammond’s rich sports heritage. Inductees are former athletes, coaches, media representatives, volunteers and others who have supported Hammond sports and athletics in a distinctive manner.

The Hammond Sports Hall of Fame is coordinated by a voluntary steering committee of individuals. The committee is responsible to the Hammond Parks & Recreation Dept. A wall-mounted display of Hammond Sports Hall of Fame inductees, containing photos and related career highlights of each inductee, can be viewed on the west concourse level of the Hammond Civic Center, 5825 Sohl Avenue
Hammond, IN 46320. The display can be viewed at no charge during regular Civic Center hours. The phone number is (219) 853-6378.
